So I bought my boat 32 days ago. It was 68 degrees and sunny here today and since the ramp in the neighborhood is 500 feet from my driveway, I couldn't resist.

Wife and I went out for about 1 1/2 hours, ran out good, started GREAT (I thought it would take a little time since it was fogged).

I got home, removed both drain plugs from the engine (97 3.0lx), and removed the "big C shaped hose". I put the hose back on, and put in one plug, and blew air from my air compressor through the hole. The put that plug in (the blue wing nut looking one) and removed the other. Then I blew a lot of air through that one (the brass manifold drain I believe, but may be wrong).

Plenty of air was blowing out the exhaust.

although 68 today, it will be in the upper 20's in the next few weeks.

I'm OK on winterizing, RIGHT???

Air don't freeze?

I did NOT fog the engine, as I expect I will go out either this weekend or next, we are starting to turn on the weather side....looks like may hit mid 70's next weekend, and for a new boat owner, that's warm enough to go out!!
