No boat work this weekend- total rainout

42 degrees and a steady hard rain. Yesterday was a little warmer but also a rainout. The rain did slow down long enough for me to do some grilling yesterday, but that was about all I accomplished outdoors. I can't do anything to the '86 bowrider I just bought. Got a trailer to rewire, impeller, spark plugs, engine and lu oil, bow light, and probably a bilge pump to replace. In addition to cleaning her up inside and out.

Cold temps and rain projected all next week too. At this rate I won't be getting her on the water till after the 4th of July

Could be worse though, glad I'm not in one of the flooded areas down south.

My weekend was bad because it was forecasted to rain, LOOKED like it was gonna rain, but then didn't rain (until this evening). I could have gotten some work done or maybe even boated.

I hear ya. I haven't even pulled the boat out of the boat port yet. We still have some nights in the mid-20's so I'm not going to de-winterize it until I'm sure it won't freeze.
Was planning on finishing up my new deck this weekend (10x32' composite), have all decking in place, just have to pour a pad for the stair stringers, do the treads, toe kicks, and all railings but the crappy weather this weekend prevented any work. Had snow last night and this morning again.

I had a dry weekend as well (no boating), but I did manage to get some work done on the deck boat. Lol, I used the green stick epoxy to fill some holes instead of bondo and now it looks like I got wads of bubble gum stuck all over my boat:)

Nice and warm now here in the South, but have had our share of rain this year. And much more wind this year than normal.

We got "lucky" this past weekend. We have been unable to got our normal lake due to constant rain and muddy, high water but had a decent weekend for our first venture into a large lake at our annual Crappie tournament held at Stonewall Lake (WV). We got rained on Friday night and expected the worst on Saturday but it was nice and warm for a change and water was not as bad as we thought it might be. Fishing was tough due to the water being higher than normal and fish were scattered. Still, we did pretty well considering, just did not win any money. Wife had a sure placer get off beside the boat, so that was unpleasant...but we got to open the 55HP up and see what it could do. Now I know we need some further work, as one tank needs replaced and carbs on 55 need cleaning or rebuilt. Runs good at WOT but lower speeds was a disapointment. But we had a good time, gave the boat a good shake down so that is good. Figures now though that we are back to rain and low temps (50-60 highs!!!!!) for the next week....Guess we will go right into summer.....

The fishing opener is always lousy so I planned on finishing the boat wiring, which at least would have been a step in the right direction. Instead Sunday turned out beautiful so I had to do yardwork. I'd have preferred rain so I could at least have worked on the boat in the garage.
