Installed a new primer and bulb last night. Went fishing this morning to see if we could get a couple of bass. Boated 2 but no keepers. Still fun. Tried to start motor with no luck. Bulb not getting hard and no gas to the carb. Forgot to tighten the clamps and was sucking air. Finally found the problem but now the battery is to low to start. No problem. Hit the switch to change batteries. Dead too but that one has a bad cell, had it tested on the way home. Hooked up to deep cycle, not enough to crank the motor so I used the trolling motor. Had a head wind of about 10 knots with a 44lb. trolling motor. Made for an interesting ride. Would of been quicker to get out and push. Could have called for help but my cell phone was in the truck. Fortunetly, the second boat (first boat said he was going in the other direction and it would take him an hour to get me to the launch, maybe I should have towed him, 18' Nitro with a 150 Merc) that came by volunteered to tow us all the way in (4 miles up river)and made sure we were ok and refused to take anything for his help. Worst thing about this is my neighbor's sunburn. Might be awhile before she will go back on the boat with me. Think I will buy a canoe.
Mike
