Re: no compression

CA, your theory is interesting, but he's getting 30psi on all cylinders after the head gasket replacement.

Hmm...you're right. Well, it sounded good lying in bed last night trying to puzzle this out. I guess I forgot that part.

Re: no compression

hey cat thats a good theory and a good one at that kinda weird prob .
with the comp being so low ,it seem s like something would be obvious
need to remove inspec plate , with numbers that low should be obvious
i had one cyl down to 60 on my 150 and it was scored badly from overheat .

Re: no compression

oops - looking at the diagram it looks like there aren't any.

Well, that just illustrates my ignorance about the 3-cylinder blocks.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Re: no compression

i went to the lake and got my good compression tester, yesterday it was raining all day so i tested engine this morning. 110 lbs. in all cyl. now all i have to do is put the exhaust cover plate back on and then see if it will fire up. lesson learned, don't trust compression tester even if it was new straight out of the package.
thanks for all the advice.

Re: no compression

"Honestly, I think everyone would be better off erasing the numbers from their testers and just using the hash marks to see if the cylinders match."

See what I mean?
