No Electric

I had left my battery sector on ALL(both batteries) ...
I had not been to the boat for over 2 weeks

Today I get no electrical power ....not to the dashboard no blower/cabin lights/horn nothing
and not a sound from the ingnition not a click or anything its like there are no batteries


could all this be attributed to an accessory being left on for weeks ........all that is needed is a barrtey re charge ???

Very easily could be an accessory left on, and very easily could be a charge 'em up and go type deal. Try it.

That could do it.
If the batteries are THAT! dead, Their reliability is now in question.
Measure the Batttery Voltage BEFORE you attach any charger.
If it is well below 9 volts, the batteries should not be relied upon.

OK I did charge them up and it started right up
I have a bilge pump float switch issue even thoug the floatis not up (the bilge is bone dry) the bilge pump is running.
there are 2 power leads that connect directly to the battery one is for the pump and the other goes to the float switch so for now, I only have the main positive connector connected untill I can get this issue fixed.

Here is a surprising observation: when the float swtich is connected ( so the pump starts running ) If I check the toggle (on/off) switch on the dash......this switch can no longer be sues to turn the pump off
if the swithc is in the up position it is lit red and if you do what you would normally do flip it down to turn it off it dos not turn it off but rather it truns the color from red to green and it seems the pump rums harder when the switch is domeand green in color....... very strange to me

That switch is a three position center off. Up is auto mode and down is manual mode (or vice,versa).

If your dash switch is only a 2 position switch (On/Auto), there is likely some Debris jamming the Float Switch preventing it from shutting OFF.

The float switch over-rides the manual switch, You now have an ON/ON switch, With no OFF!
Make sure the float switch is free to float and sink!

If your dash switch is only a 2 position switch (On/Auto), there is likely some Debris jamming the Float Switch preventing it from shutting OFF.

The float switch over-rides the manual switch, You now have an ON/ON switch, With no OFF!
Make sure the float switch is free to float and sink!

Thanks for the expaliantion..I have seen the (red = up and green= down) on other swiches but all I have ever seen for this one is red= on (maunal flip up) and no color for down which is off....
