No Feedback Steering on a I/O

I have Merc 3.7 170 and an alpha 1 (1985 Sea Ray Seville) that pulls on takeoff, and one can never keep the boat straight, even on plane. If you were to let go of the wheel it will turn into a death spiral. I have some adjustment left in the trip tab anode, but I have to replace the steering cable and rack anyway. It's grabs and is noticeably sloppy.

Can I put a No Feedback Steering on it? Would this help?

I am assuming Power steering or manual?

Manual steering. Sorry bout that.
