no fuel to top cylinder

getting no fuel to top cylinder 40hp seahorse clogged jet? ive been spraying carb cleaner in it going to take carb off and look inside any thing else I should check? thanks

Well,
You have a single carb that delivers fuel to both cylinders, so if it's going to one cylinder then it goes to both. Now if you pull the plugs and one seems dry and the other seems wet, it may mean that one plug is firing and the other one isn't.
Also check compression.

depends on model whether single or dual carbs. if single carb, you have another problem.

I think it is a 1968 40 HP (single carb), unless he has gotten another one....

got it runnning going to get a rebuild kit for it. compression is 120 both cylinders took the carb apart she was all dirty used some solvent and blew it out put it back on a fired right up. shut her down after warm up and checked plugs again both plugs looked good ( normal) thanks for the help again. Im really getting into getting these outboards running its a good hobby. CANT DO THE SEAFOAM at home neighbors don't like that much
thanks again guys for the help someday I'll be able to give my 2 cents once I get some motors under my belt have not picked up anotherone yet I have a 72 80 hp mercury in the garage to get going. if that has really good comp Im going to make that my keeper going to go pick up a harness & controls tonight for it.
