I`m not sure if this is the right section or not. I have a 1990 Bayliner 1700 with a 50hp force on it. Last fall I removed the battery and kept it inside with a full charge. This spring I removed and replaced the stock stereo and speakers. I put the batt back in and hooked it up and turn the key and nothing. I dont have power to anything, no start, no acc. Its got me scratching the head. I have 13.6 volts at the batt. and the same at the buss bar on the motor. I tried pulling the wires for the kill and nothing. I jumped the wires at the kill and nothing. I`m not getting any power at the ign. switch. I checked the reset and I`m getting 12v out of it so thats not it. But unsure where to go from here. I checked all the fuses under the dash and they all look good. I know I hooked it up right the first time and did not cross the wires so, what do I do now guys?

Re: No juice to anything

You should have one wire that's always hot at the ignition switch. It likely has a fuse somewhere between it and the source of power. Usually it will come off the battery side of the starter solenoid under the engine cowl. From there it should go through a circuit breaker or fuse on it's way to the ignition switch. At the switch, it should go off to the various dash accessories...but you're more concerned with the engine at this point. Also, if you have power tilt/trim, you'll have 2 circuit breakers under the cowl. If the circuit breaker is okay, I'm betting you have a fuse near the dash/ignition switch that you haven't found yet.

Never mind guys, there was a flat spot in the main hot just off of the fuse holder. I cut it out and temp. hooked it up and ZOOM. Time for the happy dance, seeing how its about 80 here right now. Time to head for the water. I feel like a newb, should`ve seen it right off the bat. Thanks anyways
