In reference to one of my earlier post here in this thread,... please advise if you verified the roter is for a V6 (6 fingers, not 8.) this will make your timing all off... I had very similar issues but mine was a 8 cyl, with a 6 cyl rotor... very similar symptoms.

The rotor has 6 fingers and this is for a V6.

I recenltly rebuilt the carburetor, so is this an idle mixture adjustment problem?

Well,.........

Now that you have it Running,......

Adjusting the Carb would be a Great Idea,............

When you get the Idle nailed down,...... You should Recheck the Timing........

Follow up:


The problem was the timing on the engine. I had it set at 8 degrees ATDC and it was supposed to be at 8 degree BTDC. I fixed this problem and she purred like a kitten.
