No Power: Four Winns Horizon 200

Hi All, after a few hours of boating yesterday, I shut off my boat on the water. Sat for about an hour. Only to realize the whole boat was dead after trying to turn it back on. No power to any of my dash components. Ignition was dead but my bilge pump, depth finder, horn, and other accessories run without the ignition being on and they were also dead. The only thing that did work was my trim motor control. So I know the battery and battery shut off switch are working. All fuses were good. I'm thinking that maybe it's a grounding issue of the fuse board, and maybe the trim doesn't get power from the main fuse boat under the dash.

I'm going to head out there with a multimeter after work today and try to narrow down the problem. But if there are any recommendations on where to start, that would be greatly appreciated. Also one quick question. There seems to be a cluster of wires under the dash that go into the hull of the boat. Is it possible to get at this wiring harness? Or if there is a problem with that harness, are you basically SOL and needing to run a new harness?

Sounds like a loose connection. Either at the battery or at the battery switch. The fact that your bilge pump, horn, depth finder did not work, and they normally work with key in the off position tells me the problem is probably upstream of the keyswitch in the circuit which only leaves battery and battery switch. I'd remove all those connections, clean em with some fine sandpaper, a fine file or Emery cloth, spray em with some contact cleaner and tighten em back up. Suspect this will fix your problem. While your working you might as well check your battery voltage and leave the trickle charger on while ya work. Let us know what ya find out

Thank you sir. I was suspecting that as well. However, my trim motor works, which is also fed by the battery switch. So that tells me my batteries and main switch are good. I’m thinking like you said a loose connecting but somewhere after the main battery shut off switch and before the dash?

Check your fuses at the engine. If they're good crawl under the dash with your multimeter and test for power. If no power than I suspect battery switch connections

Found the issue! But not sure what it is. The little red button with a “60” written on it at the bottom right of the starter solenoid in this picture. The box is back to working but I’m worried about why this tripped in the first place. Any ideas? Or any idea what this breaker is for?
