I Went To Start My Boat Today To Check If Everything Is Ok
Because Im Going Fishing Friday

Cranked It Once It Did Not Start Forgot To Push Choke

Went To Crank It Again And Nothing Happend

Got A Fuse Tester No Power To Ignition Or Fuses Or Tilt

Nothing Working Wont Start Or Click

What Do I Do ????????????????????????????

Please Help !!going Fishing Friday

Double check all your fuses....sounds like you blew one somewhere.....make sure you have a good battery connection.....just like a car....can start in one place and not get anything out of it when you stop.....look for corrosion or loose wires......just make sure everything is tight......then see what you got....Good luck

battery's are 1 week old connections are good

and no power to **any fuses**

dont know what to do ??

With any electrical problem you always start at the battery, even if you just installed it yesterday.

Are BOTH battery cables CLEAN and TIGHT on BOTH ENDS?

Next check the MAIN FUSE on the motor near the Positive battery cable. If this fuse blows then usually nothing on the boat works.

There is a fuse in a fuse holder under the engine cowl. It should look something like this: If that fuse is blown you will not get any power up front and the tilt & trim won't work.

I CHECKED THE MAIN FUSE 20AMP ITS GOOD

BATTERY CONNECTIONS ARE GOOD

WHAT DO I DO NOW ?

Are using a test light or a meter?

Just looking at a fuse isn't always a reliable indicator.

The next link in the power supply is the 'Canon plug', the big socket connecting the motor wiring to the main wiring harness, pull it apart, there are two pins larger than the rest, these are the battery positive and negative that supply everything up front with power and ground.

Test here to be sure that you have 12V, careful that you don't short power to any other pins.

Once you confirm power here, make sure that the socket is firmly and fully connected.

Then go forward and retest for 12V at the fuse block.

I have the same problem on a 2005 mercury 9.9 kicker. I have power all the way to the fuse and the fuse is good. What do you check next?

I have a mercury 50 horsepower, and everytime I try to crank it up the fuse keeps blowin up. I changed it out five times already and now I have absolutely no idea whats going on.

I have a 97 115 hp Evinrude. It was fine when I put it away last fall. Now when I start it the fuse blows every time. HELP!

There is some serious thread jacking going on here!

I had a similar issue not too long ago but my tilt did work. It was bad connections in the plug Charlie is talking about.
