No response once put in gear

2002 Nissan 50hp. Been a good running motor (so far). Starts right up everytime. Today after I put it in gear, motor had no response. Would go into gear and can move throttle but no rise in the RPMs. Prop would only run at idle speed.

So something is broken or disconnected. No way to know from here, on-site inspection is required. Start by seeing if throttle cable is moving at motor end.
