Need help. I have a 130 Evinrude 1997. Model# E130TXAUM. Everything works fine on the tilt/trim except for the reverse lockout. Motor raises in reverse under throttle. Fluid is full and no air, no leaks and holds rock solid in any position. The tilt trim is the Fastrack model. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated!!

My motor all lift in reverse, unless you have them sucked down tight against the stop pin. They don't lif really high, but they do raise quite a bit.

Re: No reverse lockout on 130 eveinrude

Thanks for the reply. I have done quite a bit of research on this and I do know that all motors without manual lock arms need to have some form of reverse lockout. My engine used to stay solid at any rpm in reverse. The boys at Bombardier are reluctent to give any suggestions besides "We carry new units"

There is no reverse lockout on any power T&T, J/E motors I've been around, but I don't have anything that big, sorry I'm no help.
