I have a 1991 Bayliner Bowrider with a 3.0 and Alpha I outdrive. I rebuilt the lower unit recently, made sure everything was working properly, and reinstalled the outdrive. I shift into forward just fine, but when I shift to reverse it stays in neutral and just revs the engine. When I put the outdrive back on, the selector was all the way forward in gear and lined up fine. Is there maybe an adjustment somewhere to get the selector to turn more to get into reverse? I'm really wanting to get the boat on the water. I've had it a month now, and have done nothing more than work on it. I have it running now, but I'm not going out without reverse. Any thoughts??
