Need some help, I got 5 old outboards in a buy out and decided to try to get one going.<br />The engine is a 12 Hp Elgin, looks to be in good condition, but no spark, pulled the flywheel and points were at 16K, I set to .20K cleaned the points and put the flywheel back on, still no spark on either plug.<br />How can I test the coils to see if they are bad?<br />I have a Fluke 12 meter, how can you test a coil to see if it is bad?<br />Thanks in advance.
