1994 Mercury 115 hp 4 cyl (2-4). Took the boat out of storage getting ready for the season. Ran good last year, low hours. This year none of the coils will fire. No kill switch on the boat, checked all the grounds. Any suggestions what could be wrong? How can I check the switch box?
Ready to carry the boat to the shop if I can't find help here from the experts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Justin

Re: No spark from the coils.

Take the 4 stator leads loose from the switchbox, 2 red and 2 blue. Use an ohm meter and check between blue and blue/white. Should be around 4 to 7 on the 1K scale. That's the low side winding, they are like a light bulb, can pop at any time.
Also check the kill circuit, black with yellow stripe and make sure it has no cont. with the switch on while it's taken loose from the switch box.
