No Spark on Cd System

1968 65hp Evinrude with no spark... The wire Harness is shot, Would that cause no Spark. What is my next step on the system.<br /><br />1. Rewire?<br />2. Test something<br />3. Replace Spark plug wires<br />4. THROW IT AWAY!!!!<br /><br />Thanks for the help

Aftermarket harness P/N 18-5503 You can get it at your local NAPA parts store.
