I have a 1988 mercury 100hp motor with no spark . I've changed plugs , wires & coils , still no spark . There is no kill switch on my boat either . 1988 sea ray Seville . Getting fuel as well . Any ideas ?? Thank you so much for your time ..
Does it have points? If it does you need to check your points and switch box... It might be one of those.. I am having same problem with my 1966 merc 950 .. My father in law who is a mechanic says that it is usually one of those.... Worth checking anyway
Mercury's love to eat switch boxes........There are no points in this motor.........real simple....go to the switch box and take off the yellow with blk stripe wire...if it starts, it is the kill circuit...
