I actually started a new thread, because I had too many people jumping back to the broken plug thing and I thought the spark issue might keep people who know about the stator/rectifier/regulator from stopping in.

I'll address the charge coil part of your post there if that's ok. As for the spark, after running the boat, I don't think that's an issue. It didn't miss a beat. I tried some resistance tests on a few coil packs last night and they were fairly close to being within specs. They may be issues later, but for now I think they are ok. The link and sync was because I recently rebuilt this PH and things occasionally get out of whack, so I run through the whole process again to re-check.
