no spark

Hi guys,,, when i try to start my 1992 25 hp evinrude i get no spark when using the remote starter ( the one that the red plug plugs into),,,but when i unplug the big red plug and jump the started it fires up and runs,,, any ideas,, thanks for your help.................

Dont know the engine specifically but somehow using the remote starter it's shorting the kill wires on the ignition probably. So it's probably in the ignition switch or wiring.
