i have a 1976 evinrude 25hp rope start,not getting spark.i replaced the ignition coils and sill nothing,points look good. is there any way to check the driver coils and could they cause my problem?
Erm, have you a got a stop button on that thing? If so, disconnect it. Have spark? Problem solved. If not, then you have an issue with either connections or your charge coils. A simple test is available for the charge coils. They are simply a coil.
