No Spark

I just did a tune up plugs wires rotor and cap. Now I have no spark. I can't read the complete S/N on the motor as the numbers are wore off. This is a 2003 5.0 with the thunderbolt ignition. I also changed the oil before trying to start and found I have water in the oil. I am taking it in next week to determine if I have a cracked block or not, but I would at least like to get it started before to try and get some of the water out by changing the oil again. Any ideas? Things I have tried so far include changing the coil as when I replaced the wire I noticed there was oil on the wire and the top of the coil had oil in it. I jumped across the oil sensor to see if that possibly went bad. I have 12V at the coil. I checked all the fuses and they all appear to be good. I thought maybe I got a bad cap and tried the old one.

if it ran before you worked on it, then review your work. may have missed something or assembled it wrong

UPdate went out this morning and did some trouble shooting didn't find anything suspicious so what the hell I tried to start it and it fired right up. I let it run for about 15 minutes and then it started missing and coughing and then stalled. I fired it back up and it ran for a minute then quit again and now back to no spark. The only numbers I can see on the plate are0M3585 it is a 2003 5.0 with the thunderbolt ignition.

How are you testing for no spark? If you also have a timing light, connect it to the coil wire running to the distributor cap during cranking to see if the light flashes.

Is the engine carbureted or MPI?

If you're sure you don't have spark then you'll want to do the TB5 ignition test such as the one in the following link, http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/jacksparrow1956/2012-04-14_232049_thunderbolt_v__ign..jpg

And a quicker test would be to use a test light connected to 12v power and touch the negative side of the coil to see if it blinks while cranking...If it don't blink, than there's a problem with the ignition sensor under the cap or ignition module or wiring (< rare). If the test light blinks but no spark/flash from the timing light = bad coil.

The other place to find your serial number that shouldn't be worn off should be just above the engine starter like seen in the photo below,
