no spark

I have a johnson 75 sea horse<br />model#v45-14b<br />serial#2196856<br />I have been checking everything out but I have no spark from the plugs.<br />It turn's over great I have good compression just no spark.<br />I was reading Starr's trouble's also could mine be the samething as Starr's<br />If you could tell me the year of my motor as well I would appreciate it thank's

Could it be Model # V4S-14. If so, it is a 1962 Model. Sometimes the "S" can look like a 5. Double check and reply!<br /><br />Rick

thank's for takeing time to answer my reply Rick and your right it is a S instead of a 5 Im sorry for that misprint. The trouble I am haveing is Im getting fire back to the distributor but no fire comming out. Hum since this is such an old motor I dont know if it's worth the hassel of fixing it or not but if you can help out here I just as well try.
