no spark

hope i'm in the right place my friend has a Evinrude 85 hp outboard i checked everything we even replace cdi and power pack all wires are cleaned and battery is brand new the motor turns over fast the coils have been replaced at this point i'm at a crossroads i don't know what else could be causing this issue 1 of the 4 coils only gets spark also checked for lanyard and didn't see one

You can test the bits under the flywheel.----Charge coils for ignition and sensor coils.-----No need to take flywheel off.-----What do you mean by CDI here.----Powerpack is the CDI module I thought.-----Are you absolutely sure that motor is cranking at the correct RPM.-----This is important.----Here I would take starter apart for simple inspection , an ohm test , new brushes ( $6.00 ) and a bit of lube.----Would cost me my time + brushes.

the cdi might be the power pack i might of got the name wrong i was told it was a cdi when i bought it from boat shop its a round thing with three wires coming from it the round part is sized of a quarter mind you i only worked on inboards and never seen it on a inboard and on the starter idk i havnt tested it i only watched it come up like normal and engage like it should. also how to charge the sensor coils and coils ignition i never knew you could do that

don't know how to test coils but i changed the ones that wasn't getting spark to the area of the one getting spark and they are getting a good spark so coils are good i just have to keep looking for the problem lol

That little item might have been a rectifier.-----That has to do with charging the battery.----The confusion could lead to expensive mistakes.----Time to find a shop that will help you.
