I have 04 200 carb merc saltwater motor on a heavy 22' walk around with a 14.25x18 my best guess on weight on everything is about 5500lbs my rpm is at 5300 and thats where I want it but it only tops out at 30 mph I just think there should be more top speed.

Get on the www and look up "Bam Prop Slip Calculator". Fill in the blanks and you will get an Immediate answer...and you can move things around and see the results of changing rpm, pitch, etc. Only thing that's not on there is hull shape and weight, but some of that info shows up in the rpm you run with a given prop...also, on heavy boats, you probably will be running a slip in the 20% area (just a guess...I run about 12% on a light hull) which also is an indicator of your pushing a heavy boat.
