no throttle in neutral... Mercury GEN II Concealed Side Mt Conrol 883710A02

for some reason I cant put the shifter in neutral and give it gas.. do you have to pull ****er out to throttle in neutral? I cant go forward or reverse unless i pull the red button on the handle and it goes into gear
some help would be greatly appreciated.. I have not seen too many of these control boxes..they use generationII cables not regular merc cables..

You need to push in the button at the bottom of the handle where the handle axis is. Hold this button in, squeeze red trigger, and then advance handle beyong the shift position and you will have throttle only.
