Refering to my previous thread....It turns out the "14ft fiberglass flatbottom boat" is actually a "Scanoe"?? It is 14ft long with a 38-40 inch beam but tapered to the front and back, the back being squared off. A Scanoe right?? Now...without any hull plates or info actually on this boat, how can I know what its cappacity is or even the H.P. rating for a small motor?? Anybody know any math I could use to figure these out (or any advice for that matter)?????

A freind of mine has one of those type of boats, his is a Gheenoe (not sure of spelling) brand made in Florida. I think it is rated for 15 horsepower. He runs a 9.9 Merc on it and it's pretty quick for what it is, probably 20 mph with two people in it.

Gheenoe started it all and a "scanoe" is probably a copy. Check their web site for info.
