Re: No Topic

I have a coyote story that might put a few more in the bag for you hunters. I was bowhunting deer ,coyote comes thru so I do a little squeeky whistle and he comes in. I shoot him at 5yds. and he drops and starts howling barking... sounds like 2 dogs fighting well i don't want him to suffer so i quickly shoot again and miss, reload my last arrow and hit him again. well as soon as i shot my last arrow another dog comes running in and is looking for a fight. He moves off and another one comes in then two more come in. I think a tape of coyotes or maybe even dogs fighting would work in calling them in. They all came running looking pissed.

I think that they had one of those machines in the movie "Chicken Run", but that was probably the Rube Goldberg version. ;)

I usually pop a coyote or two a year, they usually come runnin to a fawn bleat pretty good.

LOL
scared the crud outa me...

We dont have many Turkeys around here.
Some Mariam Turkeys have been placed in the
porcupine hills not far from here.
Just this past November during deer season, i
saw at least 100 of them roosted in a few trees
around the area I was hunting. You have to have
a tag "Draw" to take one though. It takes about
6 years to get drawn.

Re: No Topic

I was deerhuntin way back in the woods one afternoon, close to a mile from the truck. When it got to dark to shoot, I decided to get down from my treestand for the long walk back. On this beautiful moonless night, take a guess what I forgot to bring with me!!! A mile walk, in the dark, with no flashlight, no moon, can't see my hand in front of my face, tripping every 5 feet, thinking every cow I hear is a pack of Grizzlies, finding every sticker bush with my face, stepping in squishy stuff that didn't smell very good, hungry, thirsty, freezing my butt off...................I was the happiest person in the world when I tripped over the front bumper of that truck,................even though I busted my shins up pretty good and landed in a mud puddle. ;)
