Re: No vote from me for Hillary & why

Bad for America does not equal Treason. I hope you're not putting words in this mouthpiece . . .

Yes . . .

As for Mayfloat's question. Why must we be united? When have we been other than wartime? This "most divided ever" carp is just that, carp. . . Were we united under Nixon? Johnson? Clinton? Lincoln? Come on. Load of carp. Don't worry about it. As another thread has discussed. Vote Party, not person. The parties are what they rae. Figure out which one is most conistent with your values and go. Makes things a lot more simple.

That's just semantics, QC. "Bad for America" can hardly be interpreted as anything less than treason, and we have seen multiple references to that here, and more threateningly on countless talk radio programs.

Well. If I were going to mastermind some sort of coup, first I would need to accomplish two things.

1. I would need to develop a distrust as unreliable any press coverage that would be at all critical to my point of view.

2. I would want to suspend those parts of the constitution that would be inconvenient to my goals, and I would need a make-up of the court to allow me to so suspend the constitution. It would, of course, be necessary during a time of crisis, to do so and it would be done with the overall good in mind. Trust me, I know what is best for you!

Well since we type words here I am thinking all we have is semantics . . . If you would kindly reread the semantics I used in previous threads and then still say that I have accused anyone of treason is simply ludicrous, inaccurate, paranoia and down right stupid. I urge you to use proper semantics to explain how I have accused anyone of treason. The only thing close to Treasonous accusations uttered around here would be the references to some in the Democrat party giving "comfort to the enemy" by suggesting that we are losing in Iraq. I do not subscribe to that interpretation and by using semantics I believe I have clearly indicated so . . .

Is there an emoticon for the Twilight Zone music? Dude . . . come on, the level of conspiracy required is unbelievable. Do you actually believe those semantics? Get real . . . and Johnson killed Kennedy with the help of the CIA . . . Go make some Plywood to board up all of your windows and hide in the bomb shelter. We are going to be kilt by Bush, Cheney, Global Warming, improper use of semantics and a Hurricane, which is the same thing because Bush creates Hurricanes, by ignoring Global Warming, so he and his gang could easily pull off the coup . . . Jeez.

A coup conspiracy? That sounds a little nutty....

It sounds a little nutty to me as well, but I believe W believes in what he is doing in Iraq with a Messianic fervor as if it were some latter day Crusade. That he would attempt to do it in such a seemingly slip-shod way will always be something of a mystery to me.

However, I cannot imagine the next President, of whatever party it happens to be, continuing this with the same fervor, and save re-instituting a draft, military reality is going to force the next President to reduce the presence in Iraq regardless of what he or she may want to do.

And arming the Sunni militias for their inevitable fight with the Shia militias for control of Iraq seems a foolhardy move, IMHO, even if for the time being they are using those guns on AlQaida

The truly sad and ironic thing is that Cheney, in his 1994 interview, had it absolutely correct. Too bad no one seemed to listen to that then! That interview may have been pre 9/11, but that would not have changed anything regarding the dynamic, but rather had it been necessary to retaliate with Iraq for 9/11, we should have had (and clearly did have) the info to properly plan and execute it.

And yes I am aware of the level of conspiracy required to pull it off, and I don't really believe it could be carried off. The current administration is known for a lot of things, but competency is not high on that list.

Time will tell, I suppose.

The reason I won't vote for Hillary is because I have a real problem with families trying to consolidate power from the highest office in the land. It is completely ignorant to think that 2 people from the same family are the best and most qualified people to run the country at any point in their lifetimes. Her running for President is a power grab, just like it was when Bush Jr. did it. Neither one would have had a chance in hell of even being considered for President had it not been for another family member having already been there. It's sickening and sad that the majority of the country can and does fall for this kind of crap.

I tend to disagree here, Rolmops.

Most of the hate against Hillary seems to be of the irrational rant variety, without any substance.

Me former HS mate, (I was likely in Maple Leaf Grade school, [sixth grade when JFK was shot]) who has real trouble with substance cornplains about a lack thereof. Hmmmmmmm, remember the FBI files PW2? Care to comment if yer even aware of that lil' problem. Pointer talked about nationalizing 1/6 of one of the most sucessful sectors of the private economy to double the socialist Government. Remember the "Queen o' Mean" usein' her axe on the White House travel office? Hows that fer some SUBSTANCE eh PW2?

Of all the available candidates, she seems to be one of the few grown-ups.

Yah she is the best of the dim wits: I agree! Richardson wants defeat way toooooooo bad.

I like Joe Biden better, I suppose, and he'd make a great Sec of State.

Jus' a mouth. He is a nice guy at least! JR

I can't recall if I have ever seen her wear a dress. However it might be that Bill has a problem with making a mess of woman's dress. We know Hillary can't have that now can she?
