No water from peehole (not impeller)

Hi, after purchasing an outboard with a worn impeller i decided to change it. there was no water showing from peehole at all before i decided to change it. while i had the lower unit off i connected a hose to the copper pipe and ran the outboard. with the hose at full force no water came out of the peehole.

Any ideas??

get a paper clip and straighten it then poke it in the **** hole with engine running and water attached wiggle that paper clip around til it pisses

You might want to disconnect the Tell Tale hose and make sure it is clear.... check the fitting on the motor too.

Many people use string trimmer plastic string to clear the lines.
