no water to raw water pump

HI GUYS IT HAS BEEN A WHILE HERE WE GO 1997 FORMULA TWIN 454s
BRAVO IIIs.CHANGED BOTH THE HOUSING O RING AND IMPELLER PORT SIDE COOL TO TOUCH /STARBOARD HOT.WHEN I TOOK OFF HOUSING THE IMPELLER WAS SHREADED TO PIECES MY GUESS THERE IS A BLOCKAGE SOMEWHERE ANY IDEAS.ALSO HOW DOES ONE BACK FLUSH A ENGINE. LOOKING TO HEAR FROM YOU GUYS.

Howdy Tino! (hey, lose the caps lock huh?)


You have the same engine I have probably. The failed impeller remnants will be congregating in your oil cooler. (that's where I found mine!!)

The oil cooler has 1/8-1/4" holes in it so not very much gets past it. Depending on where your power steering cooler(s) is(are) there might be some there too....but only if your raw water goes to the PS cooler prior to the oil cooler.

where is the oil cooler is it right nxt to p/s pump is there any other place where there would be blockage.
