I pulled the drives on my Searay 290DA... Noticed a little noise when turning the u-joint drive shaft....
Not associated with u-joints, but sounds like a rubbing noise on a dry seal or something like that.... Prop shaft turns nice and smooth
This happens on both drives. I don't remember it from last year, but that does not mean it wasn't there...
Any thoughts??

TIA

It's probably the impeller turning in it's housing which is no big deal. First time I did that it gave me the same "oh no" thought. If it feels kinda rubber dry squeaky against stainless, that's the culprit.
The shafts & gears turn everything down to the bullet at the bottom of the drive where it shifts.
