(Non) adhesive lined heat shrink butt connectors?

I have always used Ancor brand, heat shrink, adhesive lined, butt connectors for all trailer wiring and it works wonderfully. As the heat shrink sleeve shrinks it oozes out a nice glob of adhesive that holds the wire and waterproof it. WestMari$$$$ wants 10 dollars to ship 3 connectors and there is no where else to buy these things around here. Homedepot has something similar but it doesn't look like they are adhesive lined. What would you do in this case? Thanks for the help.

I've bought these at auto parts stores for decades. Let the electrons do the walking.

You can make your own using the heat shrinkers from HD. Before shrinking smear a little RTV/silicone inside the tube. Shrinking seals well with the sealant.

saw some new ones with a ring of soft metal in them, haven't tried 'em yet - seems like a good idea

Amazon. Pacer Marine, Waytek, Mouser, Digikey, McMaster Carr.

there are thousands of places to get adhesive lined heat shrink, including colors. Worst Marine is the most expensive.

If you can't find adhesive lined heat shrink connectors, you could just use a glue gun and fill the connector with hot glue and shrink away... Just an idea.

I just recently had to do a bunch of rewiring and found this place. It had some of the best prices I found for marine primary wire and heat shrink connectors:

I've used a standard non heat shrink butt splice covered with liquid electrical tape, works very well.

Our local ACE hardware carries a pretty good selection of adhesive lined terminations.

Gardner Bender. I believe HD carries them as well

I get mine at Harbor Freight, $2.99 for 10 of them and they are water resistant.

I have no doubt that the crimper that bruceb58 does exactly what he says but almost a $150 is a bit more than I would pay. I found a ratcheting crimper on Amazon for heat shrink terminals that has worked the first time everytime for me for less than $20 and it was free shipping the next day with my Prime account
