Does your friend make any mead. I like mead.
Funny enough, I was going to source honey from him to make mead.

I've done a hard cider from the local orchard a few years back and that was phenomenal so figured mead was the next logical step.

been doing a lot of tea - it is nice and cheap, i just need a cup or two of coffee in the morning.
still doing a half pot on the way into work, and about 2 cups of high-octane coffee (1 k-cup of Cafe Bustelo and 1 k-kup of Tim Hortons in a 16 oz cup)

Could never figure out the non-alcoholic beer and caffeine free coffee thing.
Why bother?

Used to drink a case or two of Yuengling a weekend just working around the house. Wasn't getting anywhere except fat…..switched over to high alcohol content IPAs and seltzers, i.e. High Noons and lost #20 in the process.

My alcoholic consumption has dropped drastically since I took up "gardening" after legalization.

Yeah ,I gardened for 40+years but I just got sick of it and gave up just before easter this year . I feel better in so many ways that I wish Id done it earlier . I had a lot of fun , good times but it was taking its toll on mind , body and wallet . 🙂🙂

Many love the taste of beer, just can't have alcohol anymore. My wife is one of those

I was told I had stage 4 liver disease, quit drinking for 10 months and my blood screens kept getting better but I had the idea that if I was on my out I will do it on my terms so I will enjoy beer. Funny 52 tests later and 2-1/2 years later, my liver is normal for a 60 year old man. I loved responding to the Dr who scolded me for drinking when my tests were normal.

I just had my doctor ask " have you quit smoking yet ? Told him I had to give up bourbon 1st " He replied " I would never give up bourbon " lol

Yeah , couple of observations about Drs
1 , they are as fallible as any other human
2, They are as likely to factor in their opinion as anyone else .
With this in mind I learnt that you have to question them when they tell you things about your state of health and nail them down
I was repeatedly told that because I had chronic AF I was at extra risk every time I went to surgery ,after 5-6 opps I questioned then as to the amount of extra risk .....turns out it was next to nothing ...all that stress for nothing .
I was told that due to mashing my liver in a motorbike crash and subsequent high horsepower antibiotics it had suffered irreparable damage and I would have to change my lifestyle .
I did nothing and now my liver tests are within the normal range ( just ).
I found you have to get them to quantify things like "some" and " the chances of ".🙂🙂

I have found that "test happy " is a common thing. It caused me to actually stop looking for medical advice TWICE. Every time I would go in, another test. Finally started with a basic walk in in a drugstore ( modern, not old time with a radio tube tester out front ) . They started from the beginning and now I am fairly ( not counting my broken joints for being mechanic 50 years ) healthy. Also a "cancer " survivor, long story short, I was going to die, 3rd doctor I saw removed the growth and said it never went through the fatty tissue and I should live like it never happened ! That was 30 years ago.
