My boat had been winterized and everything and this winter seem to last forever and I badly wanted to go fishing. Anyway, I was wondering what are the consequences if I take the boat out later this month when it started to warm up but the temp. would still drop to below freezing at night and sometime won't warm up several days later?

Re: Non-garaged boat

Being this is the outboard forum I have to assume you have an "outboard motor. As long as your motor is in the down position it will drain enough so you would be ok. I do for good measure tilt the motor up to help drain, but then take it to the fully down position, and park in as level a place as I can...Chief <br />I say go ferit. I be fishin' too.

It's a carburated Force 120 outboard. Also, how long is sufficient time to burn off the stuff they put in motor for winterizing such as fogging oil, etc..? I need to replace the spark plug too.
