I'm redoing the interior of the boat today. last year we did three different ares to see what everyone liked best and the vote is that everyone likes the part that was done with plain old rustoleum and walnut hull blasting medie (fine) for nonskid...
I rollered a layer of thin mas epoxy in the pattern area, sprinkeled the walnut hulls everywhere and after it hardened, vacuumed up the remainder and then rolled two thick coats of rustoleum with flattening additive in it. It held up great, was very easy on the feet (we mostly fly or cruise up and down the rivers and do some wakeboarding and skiing...)...
I'm sure that the epoxy was overkill and plan to do wht whole thing this time with a first coat of paint instead of epoxy.
the others we tried were one of the rubberized truck bed liners and tuf something polyurethane with rubberized nonskid particles in it (pricey, made for swimming pool decks and water parks, etc..).
I was tickled when we came out with the cheapest as the best... I'm going to go light grey and aplatter paint red and black (matches the upholstery) over top.
Try it, you won';t be dissappointed and can do an awful lot with a few pounds of cheap blasting media and a 30 gallon of rustoleum paint... (I used interlux flattener so it wouldn't be glossy, but could use flat paint in color of your choice as well...
