I have a gallon of Fibreglast 684 gelcoat to repair our deck surface. The non skid surface has worn down over the past 20 years and I will be mixing in Fibreglast 4203 non-skid rubber additive to the 684 and rolling it on,
This will obviously be an open air cure, so my question is between using the #71 styrene wax or the Duratec gel coat additive for the gel coat to fully cure.
Duratec requires a 1:1 ratio, so its another $150 to go this route.
OR, #71 styrene wax @ 1-2 tablespoons per pint...significantly less money.
I'm not familiar with this stuff, and I do not know if the styrene will work with the rubber additive for a non-skid coating.
Can someone shed some light on this for me?
Thanks
