Been lurking for a bit as I gathered as much info as possible on used boats. I got the bug in early June after taking out my brother's Sea Ray 205 Sport, wow boats have changed since I last drove one!

The search began and I found a good deal on a 1995 Sea Ray 195 BR. I am in the upstate of SC, less than an hour from 3 nice reservoirs/lakes and looking forward to many fun times ahead.

Thank you all for the info on this site, the community knowledge is amazing. I hope to contribute soon.

My new to me Sea Ray in lake Keowee this past Sunday afternoon.

Welcome aboard cadrien. You're on my home lake in the pic. What access do you launch from??? South Cove, Cain Creek, High Falls, Keowee Marine or are you farther up the lake.

We have been using the Mile Creek launch on the east side of the lake as it is only 29 miles from the house. We live near Furman.

Any secret/best spots on the lake you would divulge? I've been to the north end of the lake and as far south as the 183/130 bridge near the nuke plant.

We need a bosun around here so we can "pipe" new crew members aboard!

Welcome to iBoats. Nice boat. My uncle has the exact same one and has been beating the hell out of it since '95 using it primarily for watersports and has had very few issues with it. Good luck.

That is good to hear! functionally it is in great shape but needs a bit of TLC cosmetically. Time to make it my own. Though I do want to install an hour meter as a maintenance reminder.

I have 2 young kids so our use will be limited to cruising for now. Watersports will be limited to tubing and maybe teaching my wife how to ski. We are certainly looking forward to many good times with it.

Did your uncle add a pylon or tower? Or just using the transom hook?
