Figure since I registered I should probably introduce myself. I'm Brian in Lockport and have been around boats since the early 80's. My family used to go up to Baptiste Lake in Bancroft ON for a yearly vacation and being on the water my parents sprung for a used boat....'56 MFG 15' with matching Evinrude Big Twin 30HP. We were told by a mechanic that it had a burnt cylinder but it would run fine. Had many good years with that boat until we finally couldn't give it the love it needed.

Fast forward to '99 and I bought my first boat. Ordered a '99 Bayliner Capri 1800LS with 120HP Force engine. That engine lasted all of (1) year as I had enough fighting with the carbs/pre-mix. What a junk engine! Took the boat back to the marina and after ponying up a little more cash I was the proud owner of a 2000 Honda 115. That made that boat nice! I still miss that motor.

Here's a pic of me with the boat in Goose Bay on the St Lawrence River...

Fast forward to '04 and my cousins, who were always begging for boat rides with their kids, told me they were both expecting additions to their families. Yep 2 foot itis set in and I ordered a new '05 Four Winns 200Le with 270HP FI Volvo Penta SX. The Bayliner went in on trade for this boat. Don't ever deal with Brobeil Marine in Buffalo NY as they fouled up my deal and are horrible in service. They couldn't figure out that the bellows were loose so I had to take it to another marina to have it serviced. Seager Marine stepped up and I've been very happy with the work they did on both the Bayliner and the Four Winns.

At some point in the next 2-5 years 4 foot itis is going to set in. Looking at either a Larson (VEC hull) or Four Winns.

I tow with a '07 Toyota Tundra DC 4x4 5.7L. Here's a pic since we all like pics....

(Sorry for the crappy quality but that was the night I picked it up. Used truck with 44k on it. Now has 86k).

And since some of you are probably car junkies, I also own a 78 Gold Special Edition Pontiac Trans Am (mostly restored) and a 1980 Pontiac Firebird (awaiting restoration). Here's a couple pics...

Re: Noob Intro

Thanks!

The gold car is numbers matching. Originally came with a Pontiac 400 which is currently sitting in a basement for safe keeping. In its place is a '70 Pontiac 455 (4 bolt mains) punched 60 over. It's been desktop dyno'd at 377/477 which will let the car do circles with the 3.42 gearing out back.

Let's see if this works...

The red car is going to be a '80 pace car clone as my wife loves the color combos with the red interior. It will have a shaker hood instead of the turbo hood. It has a '72-73 Pontiac 400 (2 bolt mains) sitting in the wings. Originally it was a V6 car (don't boo as previous owner took the engine and trashed it before I rescued the car out of a little podunk town in PA for $400). I'm still trying to convince my wife that a 462 stroker is the way to go. I have some time on that and I may be able to swing her vote a little...

At some point, my Four Winns is going to need some attention. Specifically the bellows as they're original to the boat. It's trailered and the marina did an inspection in May and said they are in great shape. I know I'm on borrowed time and I'd like to do the work myself so if someone can point me towards a good service manual I'll be very appreciative. **Yeah I know, belongs in the engine forum and I need the S/N which I don't have at the tip of my fingers...but hey, I was asked.
