Noob Questions about 2007 OptiMax 90

I have a 90HP OptiMax on boat, which is a Tahoe Q4 Sport OB. I have a couple questions:

1. What are you folks paying for your oil and where are you buying it?

2. About how many gallons of gas will I get to a tank of oil, assuming its after breakin?

3. Why the heck cant I get the cowl off? I have unhooked the latch, been inside the boat and pulled up on the handle of the cowl and it wont budge. What am I doing wrong?

I am an ABSOLUTE boating Noob...so be gentle,.

Well - I talked to Tracker Marine today...he said the cowl just has a hell of a tight seal. I am going to have another go at it today.
