OK,
This is really silly but, I need a part and I am unsure of what it is called. I was guessing 'throttle cable' but a parts search on here wasn't much help. I have a MFG Gypsy 15 with a Mercury 850 motor. The previous owner was showing me some thing about the boat when we noticed that the throttle was not having an effect. The cable covering at one section had split so the tension was all goi9ng through the split. Bottom line is I need to replace that cable assenbly but I am not sure what it would be called.
On a similar note, good suggestions for general boat manuals that would keep me from having to bother you good people would be most welcome.
