Hi guys :)

my engine: 4.3 efi 2001
i did add a post to a thread of mine but ithink it didn't get seen, and is somewhat of a separate subject

achris identified from a photo my starter motor being a high torque delco.

i'm ordering a riser/ manifold kit from a company which doesn't have many starters, it doesn't have a high torque version but one that they say should fit my engine

my question is , i assume both high and normal torque versions do fit my engine, it's just that the high torque version starts the boat better?

thanks guys :)

Yup, high torque means just that--higher torque. I'd replace the starter with whatever's already on there.

There are a couple of sellers on Ebay with Marine starters at more than reasonable prices.
