Going to Norris for the first time in July. Staying by Twin Cove Marina in Careysville. Any suggestions on what to check out? I cant imagine any of it will be disapointing.:)

We love lake Norris, it's one of the cleanest lakes I've ever been on. I'm not familiar with Twin Coves Marina, we rent a floating house at Flat Hollow Marina. It's always a blast.

We go to Norris at least twice every summer. We stay at a place behind Indian River Marina. However, I'm very familiar with Twin Coves. Really nice Condos there and great Marina. I think you will really enjoy it. It is one of the cleanest lakes I have been on. If you are there during the week, the lake is so big, you might sometimes feel like your the only one on the lake. Our first trip this summer will be the first full week in June. I'm already counting down the weeks. :D

We are staying for a week in a house right next to Twin Coves marina. I have heard it is one of the clearest lakes in the country.

If you have never been to Norris and would like a preview, check out the video I have attached. We took video with our GoPro camera last year and posted on youtube. We took video of going into the different Marinas on the lake, including Twin Coves.

The lake is beautiful.... During weekdays and mornings the water is great for watersports. The main parts of the lake can get very rough on weekends and busy days. Also, as any large mid west lake, everything looks the same and it is very easy to get turned around and lost. Definatatly an awesome and clean lake though. June should be wonderful water temps.

There is a bridge about 13 miles up the lake from flat hollow that you can jump off of, nice cove to people watch. PM me and I'll take the time to give you the map for it if you want it.

Music is by Craig Chaquico, previous lead guitarist for Jefferson Starship. Yes, Ceasars can get crazy busy on weekends. Typically, we go out early to wakeboard / tube. By the afternoon we are in a cove anchored up and swimming. Just too busy / choppy on the lake to be comfortable. Regarding the Marina, I really think the lake is too small to handle a marina, especially since I heard there will be 300 boat slips.

If you see me out on the lake wave me down. It would be fun to hang out in a cove with another local boater.
