There are alot of things missing (there is alot added too)......

Television/Radio Tube test stations in stores......
Oil can openers........
Drink Glasses at the gas stations.......
Pull tabs on cans.......
Bottle opener's outside small stores.......
The good old "church key" bottle/can opener has vanished too....
Lava soap is hard to find and brown soap even harder.....
Tach and Dwell meter.... still in the cabinet
Milk boxes by the front door.........

There are hundreds of items going by the wayside. I imagine I will be explaining these items to my grand children when they get older....

What can you think of? Just list the missing or soon to be missing......

6 ounce cokes in a glass bottle that cost 5 cents. They were cooled in a big metal "ice" box full of water. These were best to buy at the local sporting goods store where I could look at the baseball mitts and smell the leather and gun oil. Oh, and dream about one day having enough money to buy that nice new rod for $5.00:D

Go in the local drug store, sit on a stool, and get a cold bottle of Coca-Cola.

Yeah. The green glass 6oz. Coke bottles with the location of the bottling plant on the bottom, so you can each put a nickle in the machine and then compare.. . .the one farthest away wins.

Bashing Soldiers and Marines (thank goodness :) )

Studebakers, Packards, Hudsons, Kaisers, LaSalles, Deusenbergs, etc.

DeSotos and Oldsmobiles.

Segregation (Thank M.L. King, Jr. :) )

Most of the Greatest Generation. :(

Swinging dishcloth racks over the sink.

Clotheslines

But, I still have:

A "churchkey".
An outboard that swings 360*.
Free fishing.
A bar of LAVA.
A can of Boraxo hand cleaner.
A Daisy Red Ryder BB gun (well I gave that to one of my grandbuddys)
Respect for my elders (not many left) and my youngers (there are some real class gentlemen on here).
A phone that rings.
A Pickett 10-10 slide rule.
A diving mask and fins that I used on Kwajalein.
The model sailboat I built in 1947 and sailed on the pond in the park.
