All you need is a hammer, punch, chisel, and the rivet tool which at sears can be had cheap for the old fashioned style. Or a drill and drill bit just big enough to take out the shaft of the rivet and knock off the head of the rivet. The drill method is a lot faster and cleaner if you gouge the metal with it the rivet will cover it up, the chisel could put a nice gouge where you can see it.
I used the email link but the emails got returned twice, so I dont know about contacting Starcraft. I'll probably end up pulling it off and having it welded, at least I have the chunk. My only worry is that I've never worked with rivets before and will have to obtain the right tools.
