Three and half years ago, my workshop was flooded with 41" of flood water. This past Friday we got 8" of snow on top of 7" that fell the previous Monday. Come Sunday the temps hit a bit over 50 and continued overnight along with some severe thnuderstorms.

Got up this morning to see my backyard flooded and I noticed it was at the level of the time in August 2007. My language was that of only an adult should use. I then checked my basement and sure enough I had about an inch. I got that cleaned up and was a bit late for work. I then tried to get to my shop. No way possible. All the streets in the area was flooded. Even the main Post Office was underwater as it was in 2007. To see photos of the local towns of Shelby, Mansfield, and Bellville Ohio,,,,check out WMFD.com.

Even a BP gas station, people were rescued by a front end loader to get people out. To my knowledge, no fatalities.

I will try to post a pic of my shop, however right now for some reason it is not letting me.

Man, what a mess. Sorry to hear it, I can only imagine the aggravation. Our village sits where two rivers come together and floods frequently. Luckily, I live a couple miles away up on a hill.

Re: Not again!

Well, this time lots of things are going to get pitched. I'm not going to take the time and save as much equipment as I did before. Maybe this time they will find out that about $150,000 worth of stuff will need replaced. Lots of new in the box equipment. Oh well, As long as my house and family is intact I'm happy.

Water finally went down enough by 6 pm to get into the shop. What a mess. I just got home at 9. All I had to do was get the furnace cleaned. Replace the blower motor, fan liimit, and cleaned the burners/manifold. Lit right up and came home. Still have a crew of 5 cleaning the mud out. Tomorrow I dread...............SS
