Hello, I have a 16ft ski boat, that weighs about 800lbs dry.
It has a 110hp Johnson with a 13.25 X 17 prop.
It currently does about 52-53mi/hr at 5000 rpm.
Both the boat and motor have limited hours on them, are in mint condition, but were made in 1988 (it's been in the family since new).
I would like to replace the prop with a stainless, and would like to pick up some mph without losing too much holeshot ( A tall order from what I gather). The boat right now will easily pull two adult slalom water skiers.
I am looking at a 13 3/8 X 19 or a 13 3/8 X 21 prop.
What do you all think would be the best fit?
