Not Firing

[Rollercoaster]

40 hp mercury mariner 4 cly. no fire all 4 plugs. Was running fine, left beside dock for about 2 hrs, heavy wake, checked stator, .4 ohm, repair manual call for .16-.19 ohms. Do not have kill switch, only emergency shut off switch. What procedure shouldI follow to troubleshoot?

Disconnect the black/yellow wire at the box tosee if the switch is shorted and then test the system but is sounds like a stator short.
