yeah i dont know if the tack is right how would i know if its the correct pulse setting ? im having the shop working on my boat to do a link & sync im suppost to get it back saturday then im going to check the motor height and try to find a tack i know works correctly and try it out sunday hopfully it just a bad tack im really glad everyone is throwing out ideals to try i really want to figure this out i dont wanna hurt a good motor

I know mine is starting to act up because every once in a while it will drop and then increase rpms all by itself. Not sure how you can check it, you might want to ask the shop. But I would imagine the cost of a new tach would be about the same as what they'd charge to check it.
