have a 66 rude 40 hp on a glastron 14 ft fiber only geting 20 mph out at wop any idea's

is it smoking at all? might be to much oil in the mixture, ive seen that be the case before.

Hmmmm....I'm no expert, but based on the other posts I've read over the last while, I would suggest checking the compression and spark on each cylinder before trouble shooting anything else.<br /><br />Certainly if one cylinder wasn't producing power for some reason, you would have a lack of top end speed.<br /><br />If nothing else this will bump your thread back to the top!!<br /><br />Good luck!

not that either runs great rpms where they are supposed to be excellent running motor maybe the prop ?

Could be the prop. What's the prop size? Check the inside or outside of the hub for numbers.
